The more in-home sessions I do, the more I fall in love with them. There's just something so intimate about photographing a family in the place they spend most of their time together. A place few people are invited into.
The Jain family contacted me about doing a session with their new son in their home. They had wanted to book a newborn session but missed that sleepy newborn stage. The great thing about a lifestyle session is there's no stress about baby crying, or not staying in a pose, or being fussy because everyone just goes with the flow. The whole point is to capture real life, to remember what it was like when you had a two-month old and were still trying to figure out this whole parenting thing (disclaimer: I'm still trying to figure out this whole parenting thing 5 years later...).
These images are some of my favorites from our session and I really think you can feel the love the Jains have for their baby boy. That's the power of a photograph. <3
